Struisbaai Accommodation

Our first listing in Struisbaai! http://www.stay-southafrica.co.za/accommodation-struisbaai-harbourlights-guesthouse.php The guesthouse overlooks the colourful fishing harbour of Struisbaai, which is a natural bay and is well known for its 14km uninterrupted white beach with safe waters for swimming and long beach walks.

Imagine a 14km long, white, sandy beach... (this is what makes Struisbaai such a popular holiday destination). Struisbaai is ideal for fishing, swimming, shell collecting, sunbathing or relaxing. Struisbaai's quaint harbour provides whale watching boat excursions. (The whale mating season is between May and December.) The coast has also become home to several shipwrecks - including those of the Zoetendal, Birkenhead and Arniston.Inland, charming fishermen’s cottages will have you grabbing your camera. Hiking and mountain biking; guided 4x4 tours; shell shops; the restored thatch-roof Anglican Church is a national monument (well worth a visit); the Aghulhas lighthouse is the second oldest working lighthouse in southern Africa.
